Delving into the World of Isekai: A Gatherer’s Adventure
The realm of isekai anime continues to captivate audiences worldwide, and the latest addition to this genre is set to make waves. Fans of the isekai genre are in for a treat with the upcoming English dub of “A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai,” a television anime adaptation of the popular light novel series by Masuo Kinoko. The English dub will be available for streaming on October 13.
The anime, which has already premiered in Japan, offers a fresh take on the isekai narrative. The story follows Takeru Kamishiro, an ordinary office worker who finds himself transported to a magical world filled with swords and sorcery. Equipped with a variety of powerful skills, including enhanced physical abilities, magical prowess, and the unique power to “search” for valuable items, Takeru embarks on an exciting adventure in this new isekai.
The English dub cast and crew are set to bring this enchanting world to life. The anime first debuted via streaming in Japan on U-NEXT on September 29 at 24:30 (effectively September 30 at 12:30 a.m.). It later aired on television in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 6 at 24:00 (effectively October 7 at 12:00 a.m.). Crunchyroll is streaming the series globally, excluding Asia.
Yoshinori Odaka is at the helm of the anime, directing it at Tatsunoko Production and Synergy SP. Gigaemon Ichikawa is responsible for the series scripts, while Mayumi Watanabe handles the character designs. The music for the series is composed by Hiroshi Takaki, known for his work on various Precure entries and other notable anime series.
The opening theme song “Prologue” is performed by Nornis, and the ending theme song “Mugen Trip” is by the rock duo NAKIGOTO. The manga adaptation of the series is published in English by Alpha Manga, which describes the story as follows:

The light novel series, launched on the AlphaPolis platform in December 2017, has garnered significant popularity. The 17th volume was shipped on September 12, and the series has 1.73 million copies in circulation, including digital copies. It won both the grand prize and the readers’ choice award in the 9th AlphaPolis Fantasy Novel Prizes.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Tomozo, was first published in November 2018, with the eighth volume released in August 2024. Fans of the isekai genre will undoubtedly find “A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai” to be a thrilling addition to their watchlist.
