A New Chapter in Pokémon Animation: “Ashita mo Sirnight to”
Fans of the Pokémon universe have a new treat to enjoy. The Pokémon Company has released a fresh anime short titled “Ashita mo Sirnight to” (Tomorrow With Gardevoir Too). This short film adds a heartwarming twist to the beloved franchise, focusing on familiar characters in a unique setting.
The short features Yūma Uchida as Yūgo and Kana Hanazawa as Gardevoir. The story revolves around Yūgo, a cheerful deliveryman who goes about his daily routine with unwavering enthusiasm. Gardevoir, his loyal companion, is always by his side, keeping a watchful eye on him. Though they once aspired to become champions, their dreams remained unfulfilled.
Yoshihide Ibata directed the short at 100 Studio, with Yūsuke Suzuki penning the script. Yutaka Araki served as the character designer and prop designer, while Aoi Ishigami composed the music, ensuring a cohesive and engaging viewing experience.
The POKÉTOON series of anime shorts debuted in June 2020 and has since released 18 episodes. Each short in the series is dedicated to a single Pokémon, offering a unique and intimate look into their worlds.
