Ghost Concert Anime Series Announced for 2026 by Elements Garden, ENGI, and Kadokawa

A New Melody in the Making: Ghost Concert: Missing Songs Anime Series Set for 2026

The world of anime is buzzing with excitement as a new project is unveiled, promising to captivate audiences with its unique blend of music and mystery. Kadokawa, in collaboration with Elements Garden and the anime studio ENGI, has announced the upcoming television anime series, Ghost Concert: Missing Songs. This eagerly anticipated project is slated to debut in 2026, and it has already revealed a tantalizing teaser visual, a promo video, and key details about the cast, staff, and plot.

The series is the latest addition to the “song battle series,” following in the footsteps of the popular Symphogear franchise. Ghost Concert: Missing Songs is set in a future where music has been outlawed, and a mysterious app called “MiucS” controls all musical activities. The story unfolds in 2045, where high school student Seria Aiba, who has the ability to see and interact with spirits, encounters a “Great Ghost” from another realm. This ghost, possessing the form of the ancient Egyptian queen Cleopatra, becomes a central figure in the narrative.

Minori Fujidera will voice Seria Aiba, a young girl who has lived alone since she was able to see and touch spirits. Rina Hidaka will bring to life Cleopatra, the ancient queen who, as a “Great Ghost,” possesses Seria and adds a layer of intrigue to the story.

The creative team behind Ghost Concert: Missing Songs is a powerhouse of talent. Noriyasu Agematsu is credited with the original story, while UNISON / Project MiucS is responsible for the original work. Masato Jinbo, known for his work on Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei!, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!, and Restaurant to Another World, will direct the anime at ENGI and oversee the series scripts. Character designs are handled by Masaaki Uikawa, who previously served as the chief animation director for Unnamed Memory.

The music for the series will be composed by Elements Garden members Junpei Fujita, Seima Kondō, and Daisuke Horikawa, working under the banner of Elements Garden / Heart Company. Their contributions are expected to elevate the musical elements of the series, making it a standout in the anime landscape.

The original Ghost Concert music project, which launched in 2017, has already made waves with its music releases, live events, and merchandise. Produced by ARIA entertainment, all songs are composed by Elements Garden. The franchise’s website, last updated in May 2020, hints at the rich history and anticipation surrounding this new anime adaptation.

The world of Ghost Concert: Missing Songs promises to be a mesmerizing blend of music, mystery, and supernatural elements. With a talented cast and crew, this series is poised to become a must-watch for anime enthusiasts and music lovers alike. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
