The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the popular manga “In the Clear Moonlit Dusk” has officially unveiled its first teaser promotional video. The video, which features animated footage, was released on Tuesday, giving fans a sneak peek into the upcoming series. Alongside the teaser, the anime’s production team announced that the rock band Unison Square Garden, known for their admiration of the original manga’s creator, will be crafting both the opening and ending theme songs exclusively for this anime. The opening theme is titled “Uruwashi” (Beautiful), while the ending theme is “Azalea no Kaze” (Azalea Wind).

The anime is set to premiere on January 28 on TBS affiliate networks, promising an engaging narrative and stunning visuals. The creative team behind the series includes Yusuke Maruyama at the helm as the director, working with East Fish Studio. Ayumu Hisao, known for his work on “Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life,” is handling the series composition. Character designs are being crafted by Yuki Fukuda, who previously worked on “Insomniacs After School,” while Tsubasa Ito, known for “I May Be a Guild Receptionist,” is composing the music.
The original manga, written and illustrated by Mika Yamamori, tells the story of Yoi Takiguchi, a high school student who is often mistaken for a boy due to her appearance. Yoi’s life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Ichimura-senpai, the only person who sees her for who she truly is. The narrative explores their evolving relationship and the challenges they face. The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine since 2020 and has garnered significant popularity, ranking #11 in the 2023 edition of Takarajimasha’s “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” guidebook for female readers.
