The official X/Twitter account for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Ichigo Aika: Strawberry Elegy revealed a stunning visual, along with the cast, crew, and premiere date on Wednesday. Fans can mark their calendars for January 2026, as this highly anticipated series is set to debut.

Pyuta Konno will be directing the anime at Studio Hokiboshi. Eeyo Kurosaki, known for their work on Everything for Demon King Evelogia, will handle the series composition. Yoshihiro Watanabe, who previously worked on Haganai, will be in charge of character design. The music will be composed by Aiue Oka, and Suiseisha will be producing the series.

The manga, written by Hirafumi and illustrated by Yagi Shinba, revolves around the dynamic between a pair of step-siblings. When Kota’s father remarries, Kota’s initial impression of his new step-sister Aika is that she is beautiful. However, this perception quickly changes as Aika reveals herself to be a sassy and foul-mouthed gyaru who behaves recklessly when their parents are away, making Kota’s life miserable. Their relationship takes a turn when Aika begins to appreciate Kota’s caring nature.

CLLENN’s adult comic label DEDEDE publishes the full-color manga on the Comic Cmoa service digitally. The manga launched individual chapters for purchase in November 2022 and was compiled into three digital volumes on September 5.
