Utahime Dream All Stars Sing A Tale of the Secret Saint Anime Themes

The upcoming television anime adaptation of the popular light novel series “A Tale of the Secret Saint” has unveiled its theme song artists. The official website for the anime, penned by storywriter Touya and illustrated by chibi, announced the news on Saturday.

The opening theme song, titled “Flare of Soul,” will be performed by Kaya. Hiroaki Suzuki from SUPA LOVE is responsible for composing, arranging, and writing the lyrics for this track. Meanwhile, the ending theme song, “Stellar,” will be performed by Utahime Dream All Stars. The lyrics for “Stellar” were co-written by Kyōichi Miyazaki from KEYTONE and RUCCA. Miyazaki also composed the song, with Hiroto Kikuchi from KEYTONE handling the arrangement.

The anime is set to premiere in April 2026. The production team includes a roster of talented individuals:

– Tomoe Makino, known for her work on “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai” and “Woodpecker Detective’s Office,” will direct the anime at Felix Film.
– Naoki Murata, who has contributed as an episode director on various projects including “Planet With,” “Teasing Master Takagi-san,” and “Sasaki and Miyano,” will serve as the assistant director.
– Deko Akao, renowned for her scriptwriting on “Higehiro,” “Komi Can’t Communicate,” and “Flying Witch,” will oversee the series scripts.
– Satomi Kurita, who has designed characters for “Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start With Magical Tools” and “Princess Connect! Re:Dive,” will handle character design.
– Kenichiro Suehiro, known for his work on “Golden Kamuy” and the “Re:ZERO” franchise, will compose the music.
– Ryōsuke Naya, who has been the sound director for “Spy Classroom” and “Summer Pockets,” will lead the sound direction.

Seven Seas is releasing the light novel series and the main manga adaptation in English. The story follows Fia, who dreams of becoming a knight despite being the least talented in her family. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she encounters a dragon instead of a demon, leading her to remember her past life as a powerful Saint who defeated the Demon King. Now, with her magical abilities rekindled, Fia aims to become an even more formidable knight.

The original story by Touya debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2019. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the novels in print in June 2019, with illustrations by chibi. The novels have consistently ranked high in the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” guidebook, securing the second spot in both the 2024 and 2025 editions.

Mahito Aobe launched the manga adaptation in Comic Earth Star in November 2019. Additionally, Seven Seas is releasing the “A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO” prequel light novels in English. Earth Star Entertainment started publishing this prequel series in July 2022, with Shiina launching the manga adaptation in October 2023. The book franchise has amassed over 3.5 million copies in circulation.
