In related news, OceanVeil has unveiled the cast and crew for the English dub of “Nukitashi the Animation.” This anime is an adaptation of Qruppo’s adult visual novel adventure game, “Nuki-Gee Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Hinnyลซ (Watashi) wa Dล Surya Ii Desuka?” or “What’s a Flat-Chested Girl Like Me to Do on an Island Straight Out of a Porn Game?” for short. The reveal came with an exclusive teaser trailer from Ascendent Animation, giving fans a sneak peek into the English dub.
The main cast for the English dub includes a talented lineup of voice actors, each bringing their unique skills to the characters. “Nukitashi the Animation” premiered in Japan on July 18 on the AT-X channel. It also aired on BS11, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS Kyoto, and Mie TV. OceanVeil is exclusively streaming the anime’s “Seiran Island” version and the “Fully regulated” version, providing viewers with multiple viewing options.
The anime is available in three versions: 1. The “Seiran Island” version, which features the most unregulated content and aired on AT-X. This version will also be available on the anime’s Blu-ray Disc box. 2. The streaming-only version, where the lewd elements are slightly less restricted compared to the fully regulated version. This version can be viewed on various streaming sites. 3. The fully regulated version, which aired on BS11, Gifu Broadcasting, KBS Kyoto, and Mie TV.
“Nukitashi” has already made waves in the visual novel scene, launching Qruppo’s popularity with its unique blend of eccentricity, humor, and action. The game follows the story of the anti-copulation resistance fighters of No Love No Sex as they fight against the draconian Pervert Law on Seiran Island. It won the Best Scenario and Best New Brand awards at the 2018 Moe Game Awards.
Qruppo released the game as an adult title in 2018, and Shiravune began offering it on Windows via the Johren service and Steam in June 2023. The sequel, “Nukitashi 2,” was released by Qruppo in 2019, with Shiravune following up with its release in February 2024.
Additionally, Mameojitan launched a manga adaptation of the game on Beaglee’s Manga ลkoku service in 2020. The manga began serialization in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine in 2021, further expanding the franchise’s reach.
