The highly anticipated anime film, Paris ni Saku Étoile, also known as L’étoile de Paris en fleur or Étoile Blossoming in Paris, has released its second teaser trailer. Directed by the renowned Goró Taniguchi, known for his work on Code Geass and One Piece Film Red, the film is a collaborative effort between Taniguchi and the esteemed animation studio Arvo Animation.

The teaser provides a glimpse into the lives of the film’s two protagonists, Fujiko and Chizuru, who are set to embark on a journey of self-discovery and perseverance in the early 20th century. Fujiko, an aspiring painter, and Chizuru, a budding ballet dancer, cross paths in Yokohama before fate brings them together again in Paris. Their shared dreams and unwavering determination to achieve them form the heart of this enchanting story.

The film’s tagline, “I want to blossom, in this city,” encapsulates the spirit of the characters’ journey as they strive to achieve their dreams amidst the challenges of their time.

Goró Taniguchi is at the helm of this cinematic adventure, bringing his unique vision to life. Collaborating with him is Katsuya Kondó, a celebrated character designer known for his work on iconic Studio Ghibli films such as Kiki’s Delivery Service and Ponyo. This marks the first time Kondó and Taniguchi are working together, promising a visually stunning and emotionally resonant experience.

Ami Tóma, known for her roles in Lonely Castle in the Mirror and the live-action film Chihayafuru -Meguri-, will voice the character Fujiko, adding depth and authenticity to the role.

The script for Paris ni Saku Étoile is penned by Reiko Yoshida, whose previous works include Violet Evergarden, Maria Watches Over Us, and Kaleido Star. Yú Yamashita, known for his work on Bunny Drop and Love Me, Love Me Not, will adapt Kondó’s original character designs for animation. The film’s music will be composed by Takayuki Hattori, whose credits include Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and Martian Successor Nadesico.

In addition to the film, a manga adaptation will be launched in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine on November 25. This adaptation will be handled by Zerihan, providing fans with another way to immerse themselves in the world of Paris ni Saku Étoile.

The film is set to premiere on March 13, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience that blends art, music, and storytelling in a way that only anime can.
