New Visuals and January 8 Premiere for the Second Season of Love Unfolding

The highly anticipated second season of the anime adaptation of Haruka Mitsui’s popular manga “Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You” is set to premiere on January 8. Fans can look forward to new visuals and exciting developments as the story continues to unfold.

The anime’s official website revealed the premiere date along with a fresh key visual, generating buzz among enthusiasts. The series will first air on TBS at 25:28 on January 8, which translates to January 9 at 1:28 a.m., and on BS11 at 11:30 p.m. on January 11.

Crunchyroll will stream the second season in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, India, and Southeast Asia, ensuring that fans worldwide can enjoy the latest episodes as they air in Japan.

The second season will introduce Mayuko Kazama as a new cast member, voicing Kuroda. Kuroda is a character who was a classmate of Shin’s during his university days and has harbored feelings for him ever since.

Director Junichi Yamamoto, who helmed the first season, will return to direct the second season at Typhoon Graphics. Y Murai will also reprise his role as the series script supervisor.

The opening theme song for the second season will be performed by the girl idol group ME:I, with their track “L to R” (L and R). The ending theme song, “Hatsukoi” (First Love), will be performed by the band berry meet.

The first season of “Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You” premiered on TBS on January 9 and was streamed by Crunchyroll in various regions. The company also provided an English dub for the series.

The manga, originally titled “Dōse, Koishite Shimaunda” or “KoiShima,” follows the story of Mizuha, who faces a disappointing seventeenth birthday. Her parents forget her special day, and the senpai she likes shows no interest in her. However, when her childhood friend asks her out, Mizuha must navigate her feelings amidst a global pandemic.

Haruka Mitsui began serializing the manga in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine in October 2020. The manga has gained significant popularity, with over 1.25 million copies in circulation, including digital copies. Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English, with the ninth volume set to be published on December 30.

The manga also received a stage play adaptation, which ran in Tokyo and Osaka in February.
