Nukitashi Anime: 5 Key Staff and New Character Visuals Unveiled

Kadokawa revealed on Sunday the main staff and character visuals for Nukitashi the Animation, the anime adaptation of Qruppo‘s adult visual novel adventure game Nuki-Gee Mitai na Shima ni Sunderu Hinnyū (Watashi) wa Dō Surya Ii Desuka? (What’s a Flat-Chested Girl Like Me to Do on an Island Straight Out of a Porn Game? or Nukitashi for short). The video at the venue when the anime adaptation was announced during the “Nukitashi Dōsōkai ~Ano Goro wa Wakakatta~” (Nukitashi Alumni Reunion ~We Were Young Then~) event on January 28, was also released for the first time.

Nukitashi Anime Main Staff Announced

Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Vampire Dormitory, Love Flops, Happy Sugar Life) is directing the anime at Passione. Kenta Ihara (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-, Uncle From Another World, Mieruko-chan) is handling series composition and script duties, with the game’s scenario writers Naoto Kurahone (Qruppo) and Yū Kamichika (Qruppo) supervising the script. Character designs are by Kumata, while Hakushaku Ebikare, Sasa Ikeki, Umigame, and Kashiko will compose the music. Hamedori-kun (Qruppo) is the general supervisor for the series.

Nukitashi first launched by Qruppo in 2018, saw its English release by Shiravune in June 2023. The game, featuring a fight against the oppressive Pervert Law on Seiran Island, has been praised for its eccentric and action-packed narrative, winning awards for Best Scenario and Best New Brand at the 2018 Moe Game Awards.

The sequel, Nukitashi 2, was released by Qruppo in 2019 and by Shiravune on February 16, 2024. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Mameojitan debuted on Beaglee and continued in Shueisha‘s Ultra Jump magazine, with the sixth volume published on April 18.
