Chained Soldier Anime Unveils Season 2 with New Staff and Studio
The official website for the second season of the television anime adaptation of Takahiro and Yōhei Takemura’s manga, Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave), brings exciting news. Season 2 promises fresh faces and a change in animation studio.
Key updates include:
- Director: Masafumi Tamura (known for The World’s Finest Assassin, Ange Vierge, and Wise Man’s Grandchild) now helms the anime at studio Passione.
- Character Design: Keiya Nakano (credited for AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue, Loner Life in Another World, and Keijo!!!!!!!!) takes charge of character designs.

The first season of Chained Soldier premiered in Japan on January 4, airing on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS-Asahi, and MBS. HIDIVE provided streaming services for both the subbed and English-dubbed versions.
The anime’s battle fantasy unfolds in a world where a demonic gate unleashes creatures known as Shūki. A unique peach tree grants special powers—but exclusively to women. The story kicks off when Yūki Wakura, a down-on-his-luck boy, crosses paths with Uzen Kyōka, the captain of the 7th Anti-Demon Squad, who wields the peach’s magic.
