Anime Adaptation of Manga About a Politician and Fairy Set for 2026

The anime world is buzzing with excitement as a new television series is set to premiere in 2026. The series, based on the popular manga “Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I’ll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest!”, has officially announced its anime adaptation. Fans can look forward to seeing this captivating story unfold on TV Asahi and its 23 affiliated channels, as well as on BS Asahi.

The announcement, made via an official X account, also unveiled a teaser visual and the main staff behind the anime. This exciting news has left fans eager to see how the story will be brought to life on screen.

The manga, created by Masakichi and illustrated by Shingou Iijima, follows the journey of Lent, a member of the Skypiercers party. Lent possesses a unique Gift that allows him to loan massive amounts of magic to others. However, after his companions become formidable heroes, his usefulness is questioned, leading to his expulsion from the group. Determined to reclaim his power, Lent discovers a hidden potential in his Gift and teams up with a devious fairy to get his revenge.

Takahiro Tamano, known for his work on “Baban Baban Ban Vampire” and “The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil”, will direct the anime at Synergy SP. Ryusuke Mori will handle the series scripts, while Kazue Mori, who worked on “The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting”, will design the characters.

The manga has been licensed by Seven Seas, which will release the first volume in September 2026. The story is described as a thrilling adventure in a world of RPG-style swords and sorcery, where magic points are essential for casting spells and performing incredible feats. Lent’s unique ability to loan magic makes him indispensable, but his expulsion from the party sets the stage for a dramatic turn of events.

The manga’s second part features an original story that diverges from the one posted on Kakuyomu. The fifth compiled book volume is set to ship on November 14, 2025, adding to the anticipation for the anime adaptation.
