Anime enthusiasts are in for a treat as the highly anticipated crossover film, “Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -The Miracle of Encounters!-,” is set to hit Japanese theaters on October 10. This cinematic event marks the 10th anniversary of both the Aikatsu! and PriPara franchises, celebrating a decade of idol entertainment with a dream project collaboration.
The latest trailer for the film was unveiled on Wednesday, offering fans a sneak peek at the main theme song, “Happy Tuning.” This catchy tune is performed by a star-studded cast featuring Ruka, Rie, Miki, Laala Manaka, Mirei Minami, and Sophie Hōjō. The song was specially composed for the movie, adding an extra layer of excitement for viewers.
The film is directed by Takahiro Ōkawa, known for his work on “Aikatsu on Parade!” and “Aikatsu Friends! ~Kagayaki no Jewel~.” The screenplay is penned by Michihiro Tsuchiya, who has contributed to notable series like “Cinderella Boy” and “Kaleido Star.” Character designs are handled by Hiroko Yaguchi and Shōji Hara, who have been instrumental in bringing the worlds of Aikatsu! and PriPara to life over the years. The film also benefits from the expertise of Ryuichi Kimura and Makoto Moriwaki as supervisors, with Tatsunoko Production overseeing the 3D CG. Bandai Namco Pictures and Avex Pictures are the distributors for this eagerly awaited release.
The movie’s ending theme song, “Pretty x Activity,” complements the main theme, both performed by the same talented ensemble. Fans can look forward to a rich blend of music and animation that promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.
