They’ve announced the anticipated debut of an English dub for the television anime adaptation of Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite. Fans can look forward to this new adaptation releasing exclusively on HIDIVE on September 17 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The premiere event will also take place at Anime NYC on September 17 at 7:00 p.m., giving enthusiasts the chance to experience it live.

As the excitement builds, here are the key figures behind the English dub. John Swasey is at the helm as the director. Marta Bechtol has taken on the role of writing the ADR script. Brent Marshall is responsible for the English mix, with Patrick Marrero handling the audio engineering.

The anime series began airing on April 3 on TBS and its various affiliate channels. HIDIVE has also been streaming the series worldwide, making it accessible to a global audience.

Story Overview

The “rock x girl’s high school” manga unfolds in an elite all-girls’ school where young ladies from across the country gather. The story revolves around Lilisa Suzunomiya, who, after her mother’s remarriage, becomes the daughter of a wealthy real estate tycoon. She gives up her beloved guitar and passion for rock music to conform to her new luxurious lifestyle. However, when she encounters a remarkably talented drummer at her school, her old flame for rock music is rekindled.
