The production team has also shared a sneak peek of the first episode, giving fans a glimpse into the visual style and storytelling of the series.

The anime will premiere on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on TV Asahi’s “IMAnimation” programming block starting October 4. Additionally, it will be broadcast on BS Asahi and AT-X, and streamed in Japan on ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai.

Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs starting October 4, and will also provide an English dub.

The story revolves around Alec Ygret, a magician who once supported the crown prince in clearing dungeons. After being dismissed by the prince, Alec is contacted by an old friend, Yorha, who seeks his help to venture into dungeons once again.

The light novel series began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2020 and continues to be published. The first volume of the print version, illustrated by Yuunagi, was released in August 2021, with the fifth volume following in August 2024.

Additionally, the manga adaptation by Yuki Monji started in July 2021 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket app, with the 15th compiled book volume published on April 9. Kodansha’s K MANGA app is releasing the manga in English.
