Crunchyroll Introduces English Dub for Season 2 of Mashle: Magic and Muscles Anime – Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Friday the release of the English dub for Mashle: Magic and Muscles The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, the second season of the television anime based on Hajime Kōmoto‘s Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga. The English dub premiered on Saturday.

Creepy Nuts performs the opening theme song “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” while Shiritsu Ebisu Chūgaku performs the ending theme song “Tokyo’s Way.”

The anime’s initial season premiered in Japan in April 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, including the English dub.

Tomonari Tanaka (Engage Kiss, Visual Prison) directs the anime at A-1 Pictures. Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) oversees the series scripts, while Hisashi Higashijima (key animation on Tada Never Falls in Love) serves as the character designer. Masaru Yokoyama (2019 Fruits Basket, Astra Lost in Space) composes the music.

The anime is classified as a “complete” adaptation of the manga.

Both Viz Media‘s Shonen Jump service and Shueisha‘s MANGA Plus service publish the manga digitally in English. Viz Media also releases the manga in print. Shueisha describes the manga:

He can’t use magic, but he enjoys a peaceful life with his father. But one day, his life is put in danger! Will his muscular body protect him from the magic users who are out to get him? The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in Japan in January 2020, concluding last July. Shueisha published the manga’s 18th and final volume, along with a fanbook, on October 4. The franchise also includes several novels and a stage play adaptation.
