In Japan, the film has amassed an astonishing 28.08 billion yen in just 38 days, exceeding the earnings of Titanic and securing its place as the third-highest-grossing film in Japanese box office history. This milestone was reached in a remarkably short time, beating the previous record held by Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train.
International acclaim for the film has been equally impressive. Sony Pictures Entertainment reported that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle raked in US$4.2 million in its opening weekend in the Philippines, making it the top-performing anime film in the country. In Thailand, the film surpassed all previous anime releases and became the highest-grossing film of the year with earnings of US$6.0 million.
The film’s success extends to Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Malaysia, where it ranks as the highest-grossing anime film of all time with earnings of US$7.1 million, US$6.2 million, and US$5.0 million, respectively. Even in Korea, the film opened with a bang, selling 1.6 million tickets in its debut weekend and earning US$12.6 million.
Within Japan, the film achieved notable records. It surpassed the 2003 hit Bayside Shakedown 2 to enter the top 10 all-time films in just 17 days.
