The anime is being directed by Masao Okubo, known for his work on Record of Ragnarok and Record of Ragnarok II. The production is being handled by Yumeta Company, with ARCH overseeing the project. Noriyuki Nakamura, who has worked on Shoot! Goal to the Future and Zumomo to Nupepe, will serve as the assistant director. The script is being written by Hayato Kazano, known for Classroom of the Elite, and Jin Haganeya, who has contributed to Guilty Crown and Azur Lane. Character designs are being handled by Kazumi Inadome, who previously worked on Un-Go.

The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 21 at 11:00 p.m. (10:00 a.m. EDT) and will air for one cours (a quarter of a year) on Tokyo MX and 44 other channels across Japan. It will also be available on various subscription and video-on-demand services in Japan. The latest episode will be streamed for a limited time on the Strike World’s official YouTube channel and Japan’s TVer service. Two specials will air on October 7 and October 14 in the same timeslot as the anime.

The original Monster Strike game was launched on iOS and Android devices in Japan in 2013 and later in English the following year. However, the English version ended service in 2017. A game also debuted on Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2015.

The Monster Strike franchise has a rich history of anime adaptations. The first 52-episode net anime season, Monster Strike the Animation, premiered in October 2015. The first part of the show’s second season aired in April 2017, and the second part, titled Monster Strike the Anime: The Fading Cosmos, premiered in October 2017. The third season premiered in July 2018 and included several spinoff series, such as Arthur, Lucifer, and Solomon.

The franchise continued with additional series like Arthur Kishi no Kakusei and Noah Hakobune no Kyuseishu, which premiered in 2019. The final arc, Monster Strike: End of the World, premiered on YouTube in November 2019.

The Monster Strike franchise also includes interactive anime experiences. Hareruya: Unmei no Sentaku streamed online in September 2020, allowing viewers to choose how the last 10 minutes of the anime would play out.

The franchise has also produced two anime films. The first, Monster Strike The Movie, opened in Japan in December 2016 and was later streamed by Crunchyroll in May 2017. The second film, Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata, opened in October 2018. The third film, Monster Strike the Movie: Lucifer Dawn of Despair, opened in November 2020 after delays and was streamed by Crunchyroll in August 2021.
