Ninja vs. Gokudo Anime: A Thrilling Debut on Prime Video
An exhilarating new anime series made its debut on Tuesday, captivating audiences worldwide. The highly anticipated television adaptation of Shinsuke Kondล’s manga, Ninja vs. Gokudo, hit the screens, and fans are already buzzing with excitement.
The English dub of the anime started streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video, providing viewers with a same-day release. This strategic move ensures that fans can enjoy the series in their preferred language without delay.
The English cast brings a fresh perspective to the narrative. Chris Van Rensburg is at the helm, directing the dub at Transperfect Media. Azelle le Roux is responsible for adapting the script, ensuring that the dialogue flows seamlessly and captures the essence of the original work.
The anime premiered on Tuesday on NTV at 26:05 JST, which translates to Wednesday at 2:05 a.m. JST for the first episode. Subsequent episodes will air every Tuesday at 25:59 JST, effectively Wednesday at 1:59 a.m. JST. For international viewers, the anime is available exclusively on Prime Video on Tuesday at 26:30 JST, or Wednesday at 2:30 a.m. JST. Additionally, the series will air on BS NTV on Wednesdays.
Toshinori Watanabe, known for his work on Edens Zero TV 2, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest, and Tokyo Ghoul:re, is directing the anime at Studio DEEN. Keiichirล ลchi, who has worked on The Quintessential Quintuplets, Summer Pockets, and Go, Go, Loser Ranger!, is overseeing the series scripts. Tokuyuki Matsutake, famous for his character designs in Dimension W and Genocidal Organ, is responsible for the character designs in Ninja vs. Gokudo.
The opening theme song, “Sweet Disaster,” is performed by MIYAVI, while the ending theme song, “Until You Die Out,” is by Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas. These powerful tracks set the tone for the intense and action-packed series.
Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga digitally in English. The story revolves around an ancient war between ninjas and yakuzas, set in modern Tokyo. Two members from these rival factions clash, determining which elemental force will reign supreme. Kondล launched the manga on Kodansha’s Comic Days website in January 2020. The 16th compiled book volume was published on Wednesday, and Kodansha USA Publishing released the ninth volume in English on September 16.
Fans can also look forward to a smartphone game based on the manga, titled Ninja to Gokudล Bukkoro Festa, which is set to launch this fall.
