How Alma Finds Her Harmony

Ensemble Revealed for Family-Focused Anime “Alma-chan,” Debuting October 5

Kadokawa has unveiled a plethora of exciting details regarding the upcoming television anime adaptation of Nanateru’s family-friendly manga, Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai. The anime, titled Alma-chan Wants to Have a Family!, is set to premiere on October 5 with an accompanying promotional video, additional cast members, and production staff.

The dynamic opening theme song, “Dramatic Overlay”, performed by the renowned ZAQ, has been showcased within the promotional video, providing viewers with a glimpse into the series’ vibrant energy.

Fans are thrilled to discover the new cast members who will bring the characters to life:

  • Rika Nagae will voice Makina. The revelation of this character is accompanied by a captivating image.

  • Hinaki Yano voices Neon. An enticing visual of Neon accompanies the character announcement as well.

    These talented voice actors are sure to infuse their characters with memorable charm and depth.

The list of staff members includes:

  • Yasuhiro Minami steps into the director’s role. Minami has previously served as an episode director for several notable Gintama anime series, as well as Turn A Gundam. He will helm the series at Studio Flad.
  • Yukie Sugawara will oversee the scriptwriting, contributing her expertise from her work on series such as Overlord and Kino’s Journey – The Beautiful World.
  • Mika Yamamoto is responsible for character designs, lending her artistic style to roles in Classicaloid and Tiger & Bunny 2.

Fans will be able to catch the premiere at 11:00 p.m. JST on AT-X, with streaming services broadcasting the show shortly after at 11:30 p.m. JST on channels including Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and BS Asahi. Crunchyroll will also stream Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! worldwide, excluding Japan and mainland China.

The Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai comedy manga follows the escapades of Alma, a highly advanced girl-type weapon created by two brilliant scientists, Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane. The original manga is archived within three volumes and is available digitally. One must still keep an eye out for the sequel, Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai Z, which is currently ongoing, serialized in Comic Newtype.

Fans can mark their calendars and prepare for the heartwarming adventures that await them in Alma-chan Wants to Have a Family!, set to debut next month.
