Fans of the popular anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen” have something exciting to look forward to. TOHO animation has released a trailer for the upcoming “Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution” compilation film. The trailer, which debuted on Friday, offers a sneak peek into the film’s action-packed scenes and exclusive footage from the anime’s third season, titled “Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1” (Shimetsu Kaiyลซ Zenpen).
Additionally, GKIDS has provided an English-subtitled version of the trailer, catering to the international audience.
The film, known as “Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins” in Japan, is a compilation of the second season’s “Shibuya Incident” arc, along with the first two episodes of the third season. This compilation will hit Japanese theaters on November 7, with screenings on both IMAX and regular theater screens. GKIDS will bring the film to North American audiences on December 5, offering both the original Japanese and English dubbed versions.
The third season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is set to premiere in Japan in January 2026. The first season of the anime debuted in October 2020 and consisted of 24 episodes. The “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” anime film was released in Japan in December 2021 and later in the U.S. and Canada in March 2022 with English subtitles and a dubbed version. The film will also have revival screenings in five Japanese cities on October 24.
The second season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” aired in July 2023 on MBS and TBS, along with 28 affiliated channels. Crunchyroll streamed the second season globally, including North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The season featured an English dub and adapted both the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” and “Shibuya Incident” arcs from Gege Akutami’s original manga. The “Shibuya Incident” arc, which consisted of 18 episodes, aired from the end of August 2023.
Gege Akutami launched the “Jujutsu Kaisen” manga in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018 and concluded it in September 2024. The manga is published digitally and in print by Viz Media and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service.
