Exciting Details Unveiled for the Upcoming Kirio Fan Club Anime Series
Fans of the beloved manga “Kirio Fan Club” have something to look forward to as Pony Canyon has revealed the debut date, format, key staff, cast, and an enticing teaser video for the upcoming anime adaptation. The announcement was made on Friday, setting the stage for an eagerly awaited release in 2026.
The teaser video offers a sneak peek into the world of Kirio Fan Club, building anticipation among fans. The anime will bring to life the quirky and heartwarming story of Aimi and Nami, two friends who share an unusual bond over their mutual crush, Kirio.
The anime will feature a talented cast and crew. Sō Toyama, known for his work on “BanG Dream!”, “The Apothecary Diaries,” and “Love Live! Sunshine!!,” will direct the series at SATELIGHT. Aya Satsuki, who has contributed to “A Girl & Her Guard Dog,” “Solo Camping for Two,” and “Too Cute Crisis,” will oversee the scripts. Character designs will be handled by Nami Hayashi, who previously worked on “TASUKETSU -Fate of the Majority-.”
Kodansha USA Publishing will release the manga in English starting in spring 2026. The story revolves around Aimi and Nami, who find joy in the peculiar habits of their crush, Kirio. Their deep friendship and romantic rivalries add layers of humor and emotion to the narrative.

The manga, originally created by Chikyu no Sakana Ponchan, was launched on Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha’s Comic Ruelle service in 2022 and concluded in August 2024. The sixth and final volume was released in September 2024. Additionally, a five-chapter spinoff ran from October 2024 through February 2025.
The manga gained significant popularity, ranking at #10 on the top 20 list for female readers in the 2025 edition of Takarajimasha’s “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” guidebook. This recognition further solidifies the manga’s impact and the anticipation for its anime adaptation.
