The Unaware Atelier Master: A New Chapter Unfolds
Fans of the enchanting series are in for a treat as the television anime adaptation of The Unaware Atelier Master is set to return for a second season. The official announcement was made on Wednesday, sparking excitement among viewers who have been eagerly awaiting more adventures from the beloved characters.
The first season of the anime made its debut on streaming platforms on March 30, followed by its television premiere on April 6. This strategic release allowed viewers to enjoy the series a week ahead of its broadcast on Japanese television.
The anime’s first season was available exclusively on the d Anime Store and ABEMA before hitting the screens on Tokyo MX on April 6, YTV on April 7, and BS-NTV on April 8.
The series boasts an impressive cast and crew. Hisashi Ishii, known for his work on Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii and Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, is at the helm as the director, bringing his unique vision to the project. Deko Akao, renowned for her contributions to Higehiro, Komi Can’t Communicate, and Flying Witch, is overseeing the series scripts. Miyuki Nakamura, who has worked on sub-character design for Banana Fish and Psycho-Pass, is responsible for the character designs. The musical score is composed by Harikemu Wata, ensuring an immersive auditory experience.
The story of The Unaware Atelier Master revolves around Kurt, a kind-hearted boy who is unexpectedly expelled from the Hero’s Party for being deemed “useless.” Despite his low aptitude for combat-related skills, Kurt discovers his exceptional abilities in various non-combat areas, such as cooking, building, mining, and crafting magical tools. His unwitting actions often lead to saving people, towns, and even entire countries, making him an unwitting hero.
The manga adaptation of the series is being released digitally by Alpha Manga, which provides a detailed description of the story:
One day, Kurt, a kind-hearted boy, is suddenly kicked out of the Hero’s Party for being “useless”. He finds that his aptitude for weapons, magic, and all other combat-related skills is the lowest rank, so he takes odd-jobs repairing the castle walls and digging for minerals to make a living, where his exceptional abilities are immediately revealed. He proves to be skillful in cooking, building, mining, crafting magical tools–in fact, his aptitude for every skill unrelated to combat had an SSS-ranking! Kurt, however, seems completely unaware of his talent and ends up saving people, the town, and even the country through his unaware actions!
The first novel volume was published by AlphaPolis in March 2019, with the 11th volume released on March 19. The novel series is illustrated by Zounose, adding a visual depth to the narrative.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Naharu Furukawa, launched on AlphaPolis’ website in December 2019. The ninth compiled book volume of the manga is scheduled to hit the shelves on November 19, providing fans with more content to enjoy.
