The upcoming television light anime adaptation of the popular manga “Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf” has unveiled its premiere date and new cast members. The series, which translates to “The Elves Living in Kanagawa,” will debut on December 4 within the local midday news and variety program “Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide” on TV Kanagawa at 12 noon JST. This announcement was made on Thursday, accompanied by a new key visual and the introduction of four additional cast members.
The newly announced cast, all hailing from Kanagawa Prefecture, includes:
– Kotaro Nishiyama as Yousei-san (Fairy) and the narrator
– Yuusuke Nagano as Elf from Yokosuka
– Yuuki Inoue as Elf from Sagamihara
– Gou Fujii as Orc from Machida
Chiaki Kobayashi will voice the protagonist Elf from Yokohama, and Yuu Hayashi will voice the Human from Kawasaki. Both voice actors are from Kanagawa Prefecture: Kobayashi from Yokohama city and Hayashi from Zama city.
The fantasy comedy manga tells the story of elves whose forest home had been burned down, and are now living ordinary lives in Kanagawa. The manga was launched by Yoroida on Comic Elmo in August 2020. Micro Magazine published the manga’s first compiled book volume in 2021, and the fifth volume on March 10.
The manga also inspired a live-action adaptation, which debuted on September 30, also within the “Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide” news and variety program.
