Nowlu Reveals Ending Theme for ‘My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha’ Anime
Believe it or not, the humble gacha system has found its way into the upcoming television anime series, My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Revenge in the Backwater
Dungeon. The reveal came with some exciting news about the series’ ending theme and premiere details, setting the stage for a thrilling adventure.
Fans were treated to a sneak peek of the first three episodes at Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema on a recent Sunday. During this advanced screening, it was announced that Nowlu would be performing the ending theme song, “Shirogarasu”. The atmosphere was electric as attendees caught their first glimpse of what promises to be a highly anticipated series.
The anime is based on the popular light novel series, originally titled Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got Lvl 9999 Friends and Am Out For Revenge On My Former Party Members. Written by Shisui Meikyou and illustrated by tef, these novels tell the thrilling tale of a hero betrayed and his journey to redemption with the help of an unlimited gacha. The story captivated readers when it began serialization on the Shsetsuka ni Nar website in April 2020. Hobby Japan published the first print volume in May 2021, and the 12th volume was released on April 18 of this year.
My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha is set to make its television debut on October 3. Viewers can catch the series on several major channels, including Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. Additionally, the anime will be available for streaming on d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Houdai on October 3 at 24:00 JST (effectively, October 4 at 12:00 a.m.). For international fans, HIDIVE will be streaming the anime as it airs, ensuring that viewers worldwide can join in on the excitement.
At the helm of this artistic endeavor is a talented team of creators. Katsushi Sakurabi, known for his work on Flying Witch and The Betrayal Knows My Name, will direct the anime at J.C. Staff. Hiroshi Ohnogi, celebrated for his contributions to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Kekkaishi, will be in charge of the series scripts. Character designs are the responsibility of Yukie Suzuki, whose previous work includes Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-. Yoshikazu Iwanami, the sound director, has an impressive resume that includes Ajin, Fate/Zero, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Completing the creative lineup is Ry Takahashi, who will be composing the music.

Takashi Ohmae’s manga adaptation, which launched on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website in May 2021, has also garnered significant attention. Kodansha’s 17th compiled book volume was published on August 7. With all of this buzz, fans will have much to look forward to when the anime finally debuts.
