Fans of the iconic manga “Ranma 1/2” by Rumiko Takahashi are in for a treat as the official website for the new anime adaptation has unveiled the second promotional video and a fresh visual for the series’ second season. The video offers a sneak peek at the anime’s opening theme song, “Wo Ai Ni” (I Love You), performed by the talented band Wednesday Campanella.
The highly anticipated second season is set to debut on October 4 on NTV at 24:55 (which translates to October 5 at 12:55 a.m.). Following its television premiere, the series will be available for streaming on Netflix.
Toshihiko Seki, who voiced Mousse in the original “Ranma 1/2” anime, returns to the franchise after 32 years to reprise his role. The cast also welcomes several new members:
– Kaori Nazuka as Ukyล Kuonji
– Kazuhiko Inoue as Happลsai
– Ako Mayama as Cologne
– Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi
The production team for the second season features a mix of returning staff and new additions. Kลsuke Kawamura joins as one of the chief animation directors, while Ryลซta Hayashi collaborates with Chihiro ลkawa on the art direction.
The ending theme song, “Panda Girl,” will be performed by nishina. The anime made its nationwide debut in Japan in October 2024, with exclusive streaming on Netflix following its broadcast.
Kลnosuke Uda, known for his work on the “One Piece: Dead End” film and “DAYS,” directed the first season at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno, who has worked on “Delicious in Dungeon” and “Astro Note,” handled the series scripts, while Hiromi Taniguchi, known for “Kurage no Shokudล,” designed the characters.
