Revealed: The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen Season 2 Premiere Date and New Team

The anticipation for the second season of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior is building, with the main staff returning and new musical composers joining the team. The teaser promotional video, teaser visual, and a character visual of Pride at 16 were unveiled on Sunday, confirming the season’s premiere date in April.

The teaser introduces the returning staff and the new additions to the musical team. Director Norio Nitta is back at the helm, leading OLM Team Yoshioka. Deko Akao continues to handle the series scripts, while Hitomi Kono returns to design the characters. The music composition team includes Hanae Nakamura, Tatsuhiko Saiki, Kanade Sakuma, and Junko Nakajima, who are joined by Misaki Tsuchida, Tsugumi Tanaka, and Kaho Sawada.

The first season of The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior premiered in July 2023 and was licensed by Sentai Filmworks, which streamed it on HIDIVE as it aired in Japan. The anime was also released on Blu-ray Disc in October 2024.

The story follows Pride Royal Ivy, an eight-year-old princess who discovers she has been reincarnated and is destined to become the future wicked queen and final boss of an otome game. Determined to avoid this fate, she decides to protect the male love interests and save her kingdom instead. The original light novel series, written by Tenichi and illustrated by Suzunosuke, began serialization in April 2018 on the Shosetsuka ni Narou website and is still ongoing. The print editions, published by Ichijinsha, started in June 2019.

The manga adaptation, drawn by Akiko Kawano, launched in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine in June 2023. Earlier this year, the manga relaunched on March 28 with a new arc and title: The Savior’s Pride.
