The anime made its debut on Tokyo MX on January 7 at 11:00 p.m., with the first episode lasting 60 minutes. Subsequent episodes will air at 11:30 p.m. Additionally, the series began airing on ABC TV on January 7 and will premiere on WOWOW on January 13. Viewers in Japan can also stream the anime on Netflix and other platforms.

Crunchyroll is providing streaming services for the anime as it airs, including a same-day English dub. Netflix is also streaming the series outside of Japan.

The anime features a talented crew, including:

Sōta Ueno, known for his work on “Days With My Stepsister,” is directing the series at Studio DEEN. Rintarō Ikeda, who worked on “The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement,” is handling the series composition. Eri Osada, recognized for her character designs in “Blade & Soul,” is designing the characters. Noriyoshi Konuma, who contributed to “The Dangers in My Heart,” is the sound director.

The opening theme song is “!Ersterbend,” performed by LIN from MADKID. The ending theme song is “Inori” (Prayer), performed by Chiai Fujikawa, with lyrics written by Fujikawa and music composed and arranged by Seima Kondō from Elements Garden.

The light novel series, published by Kadokawa’s MF Bunko J imprint, won the Excellence Award at the 18th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Award in 2022. The eighth volume was released in February 2025, and the ninth volume is set to be published on January 23. The series also ranked #1 in the New Title category of Takarajimasha’s 2024 “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” rankings.

A manga adaptation by Banzai Kotobuki Daienkai began serialization in Kadokawa’s Comp Ace magazine in April 2023. The fourth compiled volume was published in September 2025, with the fifth volume scheduled for release on January 23.

The story follows Yuuki, a professional death game player who finds herself in a manor filled with deadly traps and lethal weapons. Along with five other girls, she must navigate these dangers and play gruesome games to escape, all while using her experience from previous death games to her advantage.
