The much-anticipated anime adaptation of Shibuya City Tourism Association’s beloved mascot, SHIBUYA HACHI, is back with exciting news. Friday’s revelation on the official website announced that the fourth quarterly installment, or cource, will hit screens on October 4. Fans can get a sneak peek of HACHI’s theme song in the video below, titled “Brand New Episode.”
Seasoned director YUji Umoto will be helming the anime at Nippon Animation with assistance from Usagiou. Scenario writer Ryousuke Aoike continues from the previous season to oversee the scripts. Character designs are being managed by PansonWorks and Sachiko Umoto, ensuring a consistent look for the beloved characters that fans have come to adore.

The anime originally launched in April 2024 and airs within the Eeny Meeny Miney Mo program on Saturdays at 7:00 a.m, in addition to being available on multiple streaming platforms and YouTube. The second and third parts debuted in October 2024 and April 6th of the following year, respectively.
The television anime, SHIBUYA HACHI, is produced in honor of the city’s centennial celebration of the legendary faithful dog Hachikō. The series follows HACHI’s adventures as he continues to watch over modern-day Shibuya and spends fulfilling days with his jovial group of friends.
