The creative team describes the anime:
In the year 2800 in the Mizgard calendar, the formidable Rufus Mafarl, known as the Black-Winged Conqueror, fights his final battle against the Seven Heroes. Following an intense duel, his reign comes to an end, and while peace seems to have returned with his sealing, the world faces new threats.
Two hundred years later, humanity summons a hero in an attempt to defend against the devilfolk. However, the hero that awakens is none other than the overlord Lufas, who emerges from his long imprisonment. But with the power balance disrupted, devilfolk continue to wreak havoc.
