The highly anticipated CG anime project, Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara, has unveiled a thrilling new trailer, stunning visuals, and an impressive voice cast. This exciting collaboration between Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation is set to captivate audiences worldwide with its unique blend of kaiju action and intricate storytelling.

The latest trailer for Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara offers a glimpse into the heart-pounding adventure that awaits viewers. The anime is set in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, and promises a rich narrative that explores the dynamic relationship between kaiju and the human characters who encounter them.

The anime features a talented voice cast, including Aya Yamane, who brings to life Maru, a young boy from the City. Yamane’s performance is sure to add depth and charm to the character, making Maru a standout in the series.

Karin Takahashi voices Coco, a brave girl from the Aidara tribe who resides in the perilous Zone, where dangerous beasts roam freely. Takahashi’s portrayal of Coco is expected to bring a mix of strength and vulnerability to the character, making her a pivotal figure in the story.

The creative team behind Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara is equally impressive. Katsuie Shibata, known for his work on Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Isekai, is penning the screenplay. Masayuki Gotou, who designed the monsters for SSSS.Dynazenon, is responsible for the kaiju in this series. Sei Nakashima, a renowned Hollywood CG art director, is the character designer for Maru, while Masatsugu Saito, known for his work on Cyborg 009 Call of Justice, is the designer for Coco. JNTHED, who contributed to Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, illustrated the teaser visual.

The project’s theme revolves around the intriguing concept of “a story about kaiju and girls,” aiming to appeal to a global audience. The studios have already released a full anime short in December 2021, which streamed on the Tsuburaya Imagination website. Additionally, a VR anime short titled Kaiju Decode: First Contact was released on the same day for Oculus Quest, marking the first part of the overall project.

The previous short anime was directed by S/N at Arect, with Tetsuya Yamada writing the script and Tadahiko Inoue composing the music. The short featured Nobunaga Shimazaki as Rei, Marika Kono as Miru, Mayumi Shintani as Zora, and Aya Yamane as Real Rei.

The production team includes Koichi Noguchi and Masahiro Onda as producers. Noguchi is known for his work on Expelled from Paradise and KADO – The Right Answer, while Onda has been a veteran producer at Tsuburaya Productions, working on projects like Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial and serving as an executive producer for SSSS.Gridman.
