Unveiling the New Faces of Hell Mode’s Cast

The upcoming television anime adaptation of the popular light novel series, Hell Mode – The Hardcore Gamer Dominates in Another World with Garbage Balancing, has revealed three new cast members. This exciting news was announced on Thursday, adding to the growing anticipation for the series.

The new additions to the cast include:

Tomokazu Sugita as Butler Von Granvelle, the head of the Granvelle family. This family rules over Allen’s hometown and the surrounding areas.

Shōya Chiba as Mikhail Granvelle, the eldest son of the Granvelle family.

Marie Miyake as Thomas Granvelle, the second son of the Granvelle family.

The anime is set to premiere in January 2026 on Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS NTV. The series will be directed by Masato Tamagawa at Yokohama Animation Lab. Daishiro Tanimura will be in charge of the series scripts, while Kei Tsushima will handle the character designs. The music will be composed by Misaki Tsuchida, Moyu Kanazaki, Junko Nakajima, Kanade Sakuma, Reiko Abe, Kaho Sawada, BeauDamian, and Tsugumi Tanaka.

The opening theme song, “Haku,” will be performed by the band Atarayo, and the ending theme song, “Sanctuary,” will be sung by Kaya.

The light novel series, originally titled Hell Mode – Yarikomi Suki no Gamer wa Hai Settei no Isekai de Musō Suru, follows the story of Kenichi Yamada, a dedicated gamer who finds himself reincarnated in another world after his favorite online game shuts down. Struggling to find a new game that offers the same level of challenge, Kenichi stumbles upon a mysterious game that promises an endless and unforgiving experience. Choosing the “Hell Mode” difficulty, he is reborn as a serf named Allen in a new world, where he must navigate without the aid of walkthroughs or online forums.

The story was launched by Hamuo on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2019 and is ongoing. The print version of the series began publication by Earth Star Entertainment in July 2020. The manga adaptation by Enji Tetta started in October 2020 on Comic Earth Star and is also ongoing.
