Wistoria: Reveals Theme Songs, Cast Additions, July 7 Debut in New Promo Video – Anime

The team behind the TV adaptation of Fujino Ōmori and Toshi Aoi‘s Wistoria: Wand and Sword (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria) manga revealed a fresh promo video, new cast, theme songs, and a July 7 debut. The clip introduces “Fire and Fear” by Penguin Research as the opening theme.

TRUE will perform the ending theme, “Frozen.”

The anime premieres across 28 TBS networks on July 28, boasting a stellar lineup:

Tatsuya Yoshihara (known for Chainsaw Man) directs at Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, while Sayaka Ono (CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon) helms character design and serves as chief animation director. Monster design is by Raita Sunaga, Yoshirou Harada, and Ryou Akizuki, with Hiroto Morishita overseeing sound at Jinnan Studio. Music is composed by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia) under Lantis.

Kodansha USA Publishing handles the English release, with the seventh volume out on March 12. The manga’s narrative unfolds:

From the creator of Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?!, this dungeon-adventure fantasy follows Will Serfort’s journey through Regarden Magic Academy. Despite lacking magical prowess, his trusty sword might hold the key to his true potential.

Ōmori (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) and Aoi debuted the manga in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in December 2020. The series concluded its “Terminalia Arc” in May 2023 with an epilogue the following June.

Update: Premiere date added. Credits to harushiga.
