Zombie Land Saga Movie: New Cast Revealed in Climax Promo Video

Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise Film Unveils New Promotional Video

The highly anticipated film, Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise, is set to hit theaters this Friday. Fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting this cinematic experience, and the latest promotional video has only intensified the excitement.

The film’s production team has released a “climax promotional video” that features a brand-new song by the in-story idol group, Franchouchou. The track, titled “Yūkyū Never Die,” is a powerful anthem that underscores the film’s themes of resilience and eternal spirit. The video offers a glimpse into the thrilling adventures that await viewers in the upcoming movie.

In addition to the new song, the promotional video introduces a new character, Naomasa Amabuki. Voiced by Daisuke Ono, Naomasa is a staff member at the Saga Prefectural Space and Science Museum Yumeginga. He is also the father of Maria Amabuki and the husband of Saki Nikaidō’s best friend, Reiko. This addition to the cast promises to bring depth and intrigue to the story.

The film is directed by Takafumi Ishida and Takeru Satō, both of whom have previously worked as episode directors for the original Zombie Land Saga series. The screenplay is written by Shigeru Murakoshi, known for his work on The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse. The character designs are handled by Fumihide Sai and Jinshichi Yamaguchi, who served as chief animation directors for the original series, and Kasumi Fukagawa, the character designer for Zombie Land Saga. Yasuharu Takanashi returns to compose the music, while Yuriko Waki serves as the animation producer.

The film is a collaborative effort between MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames. The original Zombie Land Saga anime premiered in October 2018 and was streamed by Crunchyroll and Funimation, both of which offered English dubs. The sequel, Zombie Land Saga Revenge, aired in April 2021 and also received English dubs from Funimation.

The anime follows Sakura Minamoto, a young woman who dreams of becoming an idol but meets an untimely end in a car accident. She awakens as a zombie and is recruited by Koutarou Tatsumi to join Franchouchou, an idol group composed of zombies from various eras of Japanese history. The series has inspired a stage play, Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n!, which premiered in September 2020, and a side-story manga, Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie, written by Kasumi Fukagawa and published in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine.

Fans can look forward to the film’s premiere on October 24 in Japan, where they will reunite with their favorite characters and experience new adventures in the world of Zombie Land Saga.
