Dark Horse Comics has unveiled the English edition cover art and exclusive preview pages for Dur-an-ki, the collaborative work between legendary Berserk creator Kentarō Miura and Studio Gaga. This highly anticipated release marks another milestone for fans of Miura’s distinctive storytelling.

The complete edition will include extensive supplementary content featuring behind-the-scenes materials such as Miura’s design process, preliminary sketches, and original story concepts. The publisher has confirmed the manga will be available in both comic specialty stores and general book retailers starting September 23.
The official synopsis reveals:
In a mythological past, a divine being known as Usumgal emerges from the heavens. Neither fully deity nor mortal, this extraordinary child possesses a brilliant mind capable of solving impossible dilemmas. Journeying from sacred peaks into the world of humans, Usumgal forms powerful bonds while embarking on adventures that may lead to their ultimate purpose.
Originally debuting in Young Animal Zero during 2019, the project saw Studio Gaga handling production duties. Following Miura’s untimely passing in May 2021 at age 54, both the magazine’s editorial team and Studio Gaga concluded the series later that year. Hakusensha published the collected Japanese volume in December 2021 with additional design elements.
Dark Horse continues its stewardship of Miura’s legacy, maintaining the English publication rights to Berserk alongside this new release.
