The July edition of Shogakukan‘s Ciao magazine announced on Monday that Rikka Kise’s manga, Pocket Monster ~Yorimichi Volteccers!!~ (Pokémon ~Detouring Volt Tacklers!!~), a comedy spinoff inspired by the Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime, will conclude in the August issue, scheduled for release on July 3.

The sole compiled volume of the manga will be available on July 25.

Kise began this manga series in Ciao magazine in August 2023.

The anime premiered in Japan in April 2023 with a special hour-long episode and currently airs on Fridays at 6:55 p.m. JST. The show entered its second arc, “Terapagos no Kagayaki” (The Brilliance of Terapagos), with its 29th episode on October 27 in Japan. Initially, The Pokémon Company announced the anime would debut on Netflix in the U.S. on February 23, but it premiered on March 7 instead.

The new “Terastal Debut” arc for the anime began on April 12.

The anime features two new protagonists, Liko and Roy, along with Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games, and the Shiny form of the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza. New characters Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor and his Pokémon partner, also join Liko and Roy in their adventures.
