In the May issue of Kadokawa‘s Monthly Comic Beam magazine, the final chapter of Gou Tanabe‘s manga series Dreamland Tales was published on Friday. The manga is based on H.P. Lovecraft‘s Dream Cycle stories, a collection he wrote between 1918 and 1932 set in his imaginative Dreamlands.

Tanabe first introduced the manga on November 10, and Kadokawa plans to release the compiled volume on May 11.

Tanabe’s adaptation of Lovecraft’s The Dunwich Horror began in Monthly Comic Beam in October 2021, concluding in April 2023. Kadokawa published the third and final volume in May.

Tanabe created a manga based on H.P. Lovecraft‘s The Shadow Over Innsmouth (Innsmouth no Kage) in Monthly Comic Beam starting in May 2020 and wrapped it up in March 2021. Dark Horse produced an English omnibus version of the manga in November.

Tanabe’s adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft‘s The Call of Cthulhu began in Monthly Comic Beam in May 2019 and concluded in November of that year.

These works form part of Tanabe’s series of manga adaptations of H.P. Lovecraft‘s writings. Dark Horse Comics released Tanabe’s version of H.P. Lovecraft’s The Hound and Other Stories in August 2017, which includes “The Hound,” “The Temple,” and “The Nameless City.” Dark Horse Comics began issuing Tanabe’s At The Mountains of Madness manga in June 2019. The series received a nomination for Best Comic at the 46th Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2019.

Tanabe also adapted Lovecraft’s The Colour Out of Space and The Haunter of the Dark. His previous work includes an adaptation of Lovecraft’s The Outsider. Tanabe concluded his adaptation of The Shadow Out of Time in November 2018.
